Is any effort being made to get the MTTH in control? Is this, by chance, any of those revents the targeted woman has no chance of rejecting? What the idea, if any, is behind these events?Īre there any checks? If yes, what checks, and are they sufficient, how are they implemented etc.? If no, WHY? So I want to the responsible designer to tell us or at least ask himself (as the state of the game all too frequently suggests such questions are not being asked sufficiently at the whiteboard stage): This is similar to how the landed wife of one of my characters in a different game this week or last week slept started being lovers with a vassal mayor just because. Meaning she must have taken that lover while at +100 with spouse and +4 with that thoroughly insignificant guy. I've just reloaded to the last autosave to check - yes, +100 opinion. This means it most probably was 4 when they became lovers. Her opinion of him is +44, including the Lover modifier. Well, if it even was unusual in CK2, which it unfortunately isn't really.)Īnyway, so who is that lover? Some unremarkable married Cruel Slothful baron with all one-digit stats, level 1 education trait etc. (At a minimum, freak incidents like this would call for some event pop up with some short good writing acknowledging the unusual nature of the thing. Bam! She has a lover.Īgain, seriously, would a mediaeval queen right in the middle of a war in which her husband - a neighbouring ruler - was saving her from an overpowering rebel faction in a losing war, would she throw it away by taking a random guy as lover? My character is not Paranoid - I check just to be sure. So what happens? In the middle of a war which I joined as a loyal ally to help her defeat a revolt, I get information that she's pregnant but it can't be right. And I've been keeping it this high (Chancellor's missions, gifts etc.) precisely because of this game being such a brothel in the current patch (I've played several games since last patch, so I have a lot of material to base this on).

My current character is King of Nubia married to the neighbouring Queen of Abyssinia. I'm sure one could bring up an example from the middle ages where that sort of stuff happened, but tell me, how often did it? What were the realistic chances of an unmarried female ruler/vassal being visibly unmarried and pregnant and getting away with it? Also, betrothals to women several years older have practically zero chance of not lead to those women getting a lover and having bastards. Often with no obvious in-game factors that would seem to provide an explanation. I still see my rulers' wives cheating all the time.
